Age groups
Four ways to learn Dabke.
Our youngest group learns through play. We break the basic Dabke step into pieces a six year old can hold onto, we count out loud, and we keep the class moving so nobody stands still long enough to get bored. There are no levels here: every session, the group learns a full choreography together and performs it for the families in an end of session show.

The youth group is where technique gets serious. Faster tempos, cleaner lines, regional variations, and real formation work with entrances and exits. Instead of levels, each session builds a full choreography that the group performs in a show at the end of the session. Most of our performance team came up through this group.

Most adults who walk in have danced Dabke at weddings their whole life and have never been taught it properly. That is exactly who this class is for. We start at the beginning without making anyone feel like a beginner, and we work up to the point where you can lead a line instead of following one.

Private and wedding training
By appointment
Book us privately for one on one coaching, or bring the whole wedding party. We build the entrance around the people you actually have, including the cousin who insists he cannot dance, we rehearse it until it holds up under pressure, and we can bring our own dancers on the night if you want the floor filled.
Levels and exam
Five levels for adults. One exam at the end of every session.
You do not drift between classes hoping to improve. You are placed at a level, you are tested, and you move up when you have earned it. Your wristband colour shows where you are. Kids and youth have no levels: each group learns a choreography and performs it in an end of session show.
